Torrential rains and severe storms have devastated parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee, flooding homes, triggering mudslides and leaving entire communities in crisis. In Jasper, Arkansas, a mudslide destroyed a water treatment facility, but thanks to Convoy of Hope, clean bottled water was delivered within hours.

Convoy teams are now on the ground in multiple cities, including Hopkinsville and Frankfurt, Kentucky, and Hardy and Thayer, Arkansas, working with local partners to distribute food, water and emergency relief supplies. As rivers crest and the waters recede, the greatest needs are cleaning supplies to help families begin the difficult task of restoring their homes.

This crisis comes on top of recent tornadoes and severe weather that already battered many of these same communities. Convoy of Hope’s rapid response is providing not only practical help but also renewed hope to those feeling overwhelmed and displaced.
